Free website scan for local businesses

Enter your website and we'll check it the way Google and your customers see it: speed on a phone, the basics Google needs, how easy it is to call you, trust signals and tracking. Results in under a minute. Free, no sign-up.

We load your public homepage and a few public files, like robots.txt. Nothing is saved, and we don't need any logins.

What the scan looks at

  1. Speed and mobile. Google's own mobile and desktop speed test, how fast your main content shows, and whether the page fits a phone screen.
  2. Getting found on Google. Page title, description, main headline, whether Google is allowed to list the page, sitemap, robots.txt and business details Google can read.
  3. Turning visitors into calls. Tap-to-call links, a phone number near the top, a contact form or booking link, clear action buttons and chat.
  4. Trust. A secure connection, reviews on the page, your address, a privacy policy and an up-to-date copyright year.
  5. Tracking. Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and Meta conversion tracking, and call tracking.

What a scan can and can't tell you

Every result comes from a real check of your public homepage, a contact page if there's no form on the homepage, your robots.txt and sitemap, and Google's free PageSpeed Insights test. We don't guess, and we don't compare you with other businesses.

A scan can't see your Google Business Profile, your review ratings, your ad accounts or how your phone is answered. Sites that build their pages with JavaScript, or that block automated visitors, may show items as missing that a person would see. That's what the free review is for.

How the score works

Each check is marked good, needs work or missing. Bigger items, like a tap-to-call link or a page Google can index, count for more. Each area gets a score out of 100, and the overall score weights them: turning visitors into calls counts 30%, getting found on Google 25%, trust 20%, speed 15% and tracking 10%. The overall score is rounded to the nearest 5.

Google's speed score can move a few points from one run to the next, so we don't use the raw number. We blend the phone and computer results (the phone counts 70%) and count it as good (80 or more), needs work (50 to 79) or poor (under 50), alongside load time, layout shift and tap response, each with its own good, needs work and poor range.

A is 90 or above, B is 80 to 85, C is 70 to 75, D is 60 to 65, and anything lower is F.

Website scan questions

Is the website scan really free?

Yes. There's no charge, no sign-up and no card. It uses our own server and Google's free PageSpeed Insights test.

What does the website scan check?

It loads your public homepage the way Google does and checks five areas: speed and mobile, getting found on Google, turning visitors into calls, trust, and tracking. You get a score out of 100, an A to F grade and the three fixes most likely to get you more calls.

How long does a scan take?

Most scans finish in 10 to 20 seconds. Google's speed test can take up to a minute, and the score updates when it's done.

Why can my score change between scans?

Google's speed test loads your page fresh each time, and its score can move a few points between runs. To keep that noise from changing your grade, we blend the phone and computer results, count speed in good, needs work and poor ranges, and round the overall score to the nearest 5. A scan within 30 minutes reuses the saved results. If your score is right on a grade line, the results say so.

Where do the results come from?

Every result comes from a real check of your public pages, robots.txt, sitemap and Google PageSpeed Insights. We don't make up scores or compare you with other businesses.

Why does the scan say something is missing when it's on my site?

Some sites build their pages with JavaScript after they load, and some block automated visitors. In those cases our scan can't see everything a person would. The free 15-minute review checks by hand.

What can't the scan see?

Your Google Business Profile, review ratings, ad accounts, call handling and anything behind a login. We cover those in the free review.

Do you store my website or my details?

We don't store results with your details. A site's results may be kept for up to 30 minutes so repeat scans are faster. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to email your report.

Rather talk to a person?

We'll review your website, Google profile, reviews and ads, and show you what we'd fix first.
